CSS played at Black Cat last night. I went with several friends and almost none of them liked the band. One friend even called it trash.

I however thought it was amazing and wish there were more bands out there right now like CSS. They completely let go on stage and aren't worried about how they sound in the mic, spitting water into the crowd, stage diving. Not to mention their clothes are fantastic. I'm so tired of the edgy indie rock outfits, skinny ties and crooner front singers. It finally feels like the wild energy of punk rock may be coming back. People have been categorizing this group as electro-rock but they are most definitely a pop punk band.

Bonde Do Role was also fun but it was due to their infectious energy not the music, which was basically Portuguese vocals over loosely remixed classic rock songs like Alice in Chains, "Man in the Box," something by ACDC as well as the Beastie Boys' "Check It Out."
