Spektrum

Spektrum is on the verge of releasing one of the best albums of the year. I haven’t even heard it yet, but I can tell you that I have not heard one song of theirs I did not like. On the site it claims it will be released at the end of the summer, but you all know how that is. Don’t expect an american release, as those european bastard’s like keeping us on our toe’s.
If you haven’t heard them yet, you have seriously been missing out. They released an amazing album titled simply “Enter the Spektrum”, which is a must have! With such hits as “Freakbox”, “Kinda New”, and “Freefall” under their belts they can surely take over the electronic market, not just locally in their native land of England, but globally.
“Horny Pony” is the first single off of their new album, which has their usual bass lines and scratchy synths, which have become the staple to the Spektrum sound. “May Day” is a song that was released seperate from “Enter the Spektrum”, which to me is one of the best songs this amazing band has released. I am not sure if it will be released on their next album.
Keep an eye out for this band and shock your friends as you play this in your house or car, and expect to hear “Who the fuck is this?!!!” Go buy their new single!

Am I allowed to say that THIS is the best thing I’ve heard in months? I mean, I said that about something else one someone else’s blog, but I MEAN IT THIS TIME.

Something weird happened, though, when I was practicing last night — May Day sinks like a stone in an actual set, and I can’t figure out why. Sounds great on headphones, and lousy over a PA. Maybe I need to try Horny Pony instead.

Horny Pony is terrific. Everyone should immediately stop what they are doing and buy it. Then happiness would surely ensue.
