Jarvis Cocker is back once again, he’s like Jesus, resurrecting to show us he’s died for our sins. His new solo album is in the works. This time he claims to be releasing a more personal album, claiming he is too old to be making music for others.
On the new material he seems to be taking a more political view, although the political aspect has always been an undertone in previous work. You can check out one of his new songs which originally was titled “Cunts Are Still Running The World”, and now seems to be just “Still Running The World” on his myspace page.

Hmm… piano chords at the start of this track are same deal as Verve’s “Bittersweet Symphony” … and the rest of the track feels like he’s singing out-takes from “Do They Know It’s Christmas” … all that aside; any lyric along the lines of ‘cunt’s are still runing the world’ is absolutely diamond.
