Tomcraft
12 May 2006 :: posted by TravisTo be fair, my knowledge of Tomcraft starts and stops at “Loneliness.” It’s hard to believe that song is now almost four-five years old. Time flies…

If “Loneliness” was eurodancepop’s answer to electroclash, then DJ Tomcraft’s “Sureshot” could easily be eurodancepop’s answer to grime. Certainly a departure from the club ready “Loneliness”, “Sureshot” is a little more tough and a little less sweet. It certainly is easy to love, but its motives seem very calculated with slick production. Tai Jason’s (Faux?) Dirrty South seems a little out of place, but it is perhaps what makes this track stand out. “Sureshot” is initially pleasing to the ears though, but potentially could suffer on repeat listens.

That’s quite remarkable for Sido, who usually does the whole berlin gangster-pimp-coke’n'pills rap thing..
