Think About Life

Ok, I hope the above photo is at a Halloween party because there’s some undead zombie bride about to eat the crowds’ brains out. Wtf?

Think About Life comes to us from Montreal and delivers a solid DIY Indie Disco record. The aesthetics bounce back and forth between honesty, naivety and restlessness. Really, they pick up where Test Icicles left off, and make you wonder what that band would’ve sounded like had they not just been a huge joke. Is it pop? Is it art? Is it punk? Who cares. Think About Life is certainly not for the casual listener (your Mom will hate it), but if you’re ready to brave the elements then be sure to check out this disc. Honestly… At first, I was not quite sure, but now I have been playing the album on repeat. It’s brilliance will grow on you. In its own chaos, it creates peace.

If our doing the iTunes a la carte thing: “What The Future May Be” and “Commander Riker’s Party” are two tracks not to be missed.

They’re set to release their self-titled debut in stores May 6th on Alien8 (The Unicorns, Les Georges Leningrad and Lesbians on Ecstacy). Think About Life is currently available on iTunes and eMusic.

Not really crazy about the song, but I love that picture.

    How’s that for image-obsessed. Ha!
