Division Day

I was lucky enough to have a cd-r of Division Day’s Beartrap Island sent to me a couple months ago. I put the disc on in my car where it lived for about a month. That, my friends, is a good thing. I can tell how solid a record is by how long it stays in my car… a month is a very long run.
I’m not an expert on all things indie rock. I’m not going to pretend. But for whatever reason this album just did it. There is something so familar about Division Day… like a well worn pair of jeans. Beartrap Island is just so comfortable, but not in a bad way. Like you’ve been there before and have no problem going back.
