San Serac

San Serac has a new album coming out on Trevor Jackson’s Output Recordings that you are going to want to love. You have to love Trevor Jackson, if for nothing else, because he has cultivated one of the most exciting, experimental and diverse electronic record labels out there. Stating the obvious, I know. But back to topic, San Serac is debuting on Output with his newest album.
“Tyrant” is the first single off of the album and features remixes by Polygamy Boys and Stranger. The song has so much going on… like it could default to a simple electro tune but it goes a step further and borrows from 70’s singer/songwriter and 80’s pop. One of those rare tunes that could work both inside and outside the club. Plus, it makes me want to dance.
Purchase: Juno
And while we all have David Bowie on our minds: Head over to 440r Collective for San Serac’s cover of David Bowie’s “Teenage Wildlife” (you know… from Bowie’s Scary Monsters record). It’s not to be missed.
And this has nothing to do with anthing… but I’ve had Peaches’ “Shake Your Dix” stuck in my head all day. I’ve been singing “You make my panties go ping” over and over and over again in my head. All day. It’s starting to annoy me.

I love the Tiga remix of “Shake yer Dix” when there’s the sound effect after that line.
Ping!

i have had the exact same song stuck in my head for the past two days! except i keep accidentally singing “shake your tits, shake your tits” out loud. with mixed responses.
anyway, hot track. have you noticed how the “san serac” on the cover art is in the same font/style as kraftwerk’s on some of their albums (autobahn, trans-europa express, tour de france)? just a fun observation.
