I have to admit this: When this album arrived in the mail, I was super excited because I initially thought it was a new Figurine album that I didn’t know about. I popped it into my car stereo and was totally taken off guard. Because it was of course Figurines and not Figurine.
But what a nice surprise. From what I can tell, Denmark’s Figurines is making a splash with the indie rock blog-o-sphere, and it is with good reason. I don’t know if the change of seasons has me anticipating something new or if Figurines’ Skeleton really is the sound I’ve been needing to hear… but not knowing it.
These tracks are everywhere. But maybe you’ve missed them?
