DJ-Kicks + Erlend Øye
posted by TravisOk, I know Erlend Øye is hardly an insider tip. But. If I had to pick one favorite song of all time, it would be Erlend Øye’s “The Black Keys Work.” I have listened to this song at least a billion times, and it is still a favorite. Hands down. The sensitivity of his voice versus the club beat versus the indie aesthetic just makes my heart beat.
Erlend Øye – “The Black Keys Work”
I’ve wanted to post this song since the birth of bigstereo but have never had a real reason to do so. Until now. K7 is releasing a compilation full of all the exclusive artist tracks that have gone along with their seminal DJ-Kicks releases. I know, like you, I own almost all of these tracks on 12″… but it is nice to have them all in one collection. And listening to it is like a nice dose of nostalgia. A must have really…
