Cuts & Pieces

Cuts and PiecesIn 2005, Kitty-Yo started a sub-label called Kitty-Cuts which focused on releasing above par club tracks. “Cuts & Pieces” is the product of that. Kitty-Yo/Cuts recently chose to release a CD compilation of rare and exclusive tracks and remixes to showcase their roster.

Compilations are always hard to post about because it’s hard to choose just one or two songs that best represent the album. With most compilations there is at least one stand out track. Not this time around. Every single track is fucking brilliant… well almost every track anyway. My only complaint about this CD is at times it seems too Kitty-Yo… like there are few surprises. But then what should I expect?

From Jahcoozi to Gold Chains to Codec & Flexor to Chikinki; if you are planning on having a party but don’t know a dj then just grab this disc and play it.

“Cuts & Pieces” is out March 7th in the USA. In other parts of the world it is out now.

Slight tangent. But if you haven’t yet checked out that Who Made Who track that MFR recently aired then do yourself a favor and head over there. I can’t get enough.

  1. This weekend I harassed a DJ when I heard the most amazing dark track.. It was apparently Freeform Five - No More Conversations (Mylo Remix). I slept on the track when you posted it here once. Could you up it again???????

  2. hands up for this baby!
