Blondie

My one big memory of Blondie dates back to my days in art school. We would pull these all nighters in printmaking – specifically lithography class. All night we would play “Rapture” over and over and over again trying to memorize the rap… which, personally, I could never remember. There’s something so natural playing a song over and over again in printmaking while trying to pull the perfect edition. It’s all so repetitive. There was this one girl who wore her hair like Debbie Harry and like knew the entire rap and would dance on the tables. It was hot. Anyway – That is my memory of Blondie.

Blondie is releasing a new “Greatest Hits” album called “Sound & Vision” that will replace your “The Best Of Blondie” disc that you’ve been kicking around the last decade or so. “Why replace a greatest hits album with another greatest hits album,” you ask. Well, this is like totally the definitive collection. Ok not a good enough reasion? Not only does it come with a cd but, like it’s name may imply, has a bonus DVD with 13 music videos. Hot, right? The cd also contains a couple unreleased remixes and this mashup between Blondie and The Doors.
