The Glimmers remix of XLOVER’s “Lovesucker” is not quite as hot as the original version – gone are the dirty lyrics and faux electric synth guitar. The emphasis is instead on a steady, club worthy 4/4 beat and that weird siren noise that is almost buried in the original version. The Glimmers do what they do best and turn this into an electro-disco club track that would easily fit into one of their dj sets.

I’d love to hear this track with some heavy electric guitar. XLOVER is best when they’re flirting with rock sounds. Hell you hear me? “Lovesucker” is out now on Gigolo.

Ok. And while I”™m posting about a Gigolo release. For whatever reason there is a huge “Emerge” renaissance going on. I don”™t know why. Maybe it”™s some kind of shortened nostalgia for when Fischerspooner was still cool. Naughty”™s Zugabe remix is by far my favorite remix of this classic. This does the trick while I”™m longing for electric guitar on electro tracks. Still fucking hot.
