The Witnesses

Brooklyn’s The Witnesses released their sophmore album, Black Eyes and White Lies, yesterday. The quintet are one part garage, one part funk, two parts swagger and a dash of classic rock. “We’re Taking Over” is an anthem that will have you clapping along. I’m telling you, the hook will own you. Bonnie Bloomgarden and Oakley Munson’s vocals play off each other so well… really that is what takes it to the next level and makes The Witnesses better than just another rock band.

This Witnesses are addictive. If I had to play the name game, I’d say they’re somewhere between the Rolling Stones and Scissor Sisters… more rock the Sisters ever got and more campy than the Stones ever ventured.
