Stereo Total

Stereo Total

Stereo Total is one of those bands that just doesn”™t need remixing. They have experimented with so many sounds and textures over the years that remixes seem a bit unnecessary. Remixing Stereo Total feels redundant.

That said - Stereo Total”™s most recent album, Discotheque, is a collection of remixes and rarities from the Do The Bambi sessions. Perhaps a remix project based off of Do The Bambi should not come as much of a surprise to fans though. Do The Bambi is the Franco-German duo”™s most easily accessible record of their decade long career. Remixes just make it a little bit more accessible. And any excuse for a Munk remix is good enough for this writer.

Listen: Stereo Total - “Troglodyten” (Munk edit) (mp3)

Discotheque is in stores now on Disko B in Europe and available as import in the U.S.
