Kelis
30 December 2005 :: posted by TravisOkay, chances are in ten minutes “Bossy” will be on every single radio station, and we will all be sick of it. Kidz Bop is probably already recording their version. It’s not quite as infectious as “Milkshakes”, but Kelis is back with her own brand of ghetto-gutter-lo-tech-hip-hop that you won’t be able to get out of your head. Sure she plays homage to her biggest hit, but don’t think of this as a “Milkshakes Part II.” Bonus points: she worked with Too Short.
Kelis’ new album, The Puppeteer, is in stores early 2006… which she worked with producer Max Martin (Britney Spears, Kelly Clarkson). Hi, hit.
Best line ever in a song: “I’m back with an 808.” There is not enough 808 love in this world.
Listen: Kelis w/ Too Short - “Bossy” (mp3)

its about damn time.
i just recently ate at the diner that milkshakes was taped at, food sucked, haha.

I first heard Kelis when I came across an awesome TIMO MAAS remix of her song “Young fresh n new.” That version kicked!

Thank you, thank the lord, and thank god for Kelis.
Kelis is one of the few “new” Rap/RB performers who can not only make infectious singles but a record that isn’t somewhat painful to listen to all the way through. I can’t wait to hear what damage she pulls out on her new full-length.

Kelis is a great hip hop soloist. Her new song “Bossy” will be a hit with the ladies. You go girl.
