Sunshine Underground

I have never re-posted a song before… until now. If I were to be super nerdy and post a list of my favorite songs of 2005, I think The Sunshine Underground’s “Put You In Your Place” would be at the number one spot. There is just something so fresh and catchy and raw about it that I still cannot stop listening to it.

The extended mix is just as rad - if not more so. Get your hands on the record. It is out on City Rockers.

The Sunshine Underground are set to take 2006. They had Zane Lowe last month call their next single, “Commercial Breakdown,” the hottest record in the world today. Yeah, it is his job to create hyperboles, but he wasn’t so far from the mark. Not only that, but they had the good people over at Colonel Blimp direct a slick video for the song. “Commercial Breakdown” is set for a January 16th release in the UK. No date yet to take over the US…
