Hot Chip
7 December 2005 :: posted by TravisI know you all know Hot Chip. Their album, Coming On Strong, was one of my favorite discs from last year and it finally made it’s way to the U.S. last week. Sometimes it is worth the wait because U.S. fans are treated to three extra bonus tracks.
Hot Chip offers up their own style that is a mash up of slowed down r&b and hip-hop, diy electro and pop. I don’t know. I can’t really say anything about Hot Chip that you don’t already know. But.. if you have not yet picked up the album then what the hell are you waiting for?
And… I have to admit that for the longest time I thought Hot Chip was one person. Like it was a guy named Chip who was hot. Am I the only one?

The best news for Hot Chip fans in the U.S.? We won’t have to wait so long for the sophmore album. The Warning will be released Spring 2006.

have you heard the Barbarian ep they put out recently? it’s apparently fairly difficult to find in the States, but … I WANT IT. haha.

produced by DFA.. the new album that is. makes all the difference from their days as bedroom pop. also they have 5 members..
