Colder

Colder is one of the best acts around right now. Not only did he release one of the best albums last year, he released one of the best albums this year! His music is unlike anything else in the world. Currently on my top ten list of all time, his hooks are catchy and dream-like. The sound of his beats and voice will give you goosebumps and make your heart dance to the beat. For those of you who haven’t heard Colder I am including an mp3 of one of the best tracks of last year “Crazy Love” from the album “Again”. This year he released “Heat” which is just simply amazing and beautiful. The sounds of Colder tend to remind me of Love & Rockets, Joy Division, and G.D. Luxxe. He adds a mixture all of his own including reggae beats, and shoegaze guitars. The bass driven tracks bring you back to post punk days and a time when well written songs were all the rage, not some pointless piece of shit pop song.
Seriously buy, buy, buy this album. In my eyes it is already a classic.

I highly recommend Colder’s non-album tracks and b-sides.
“Le Quart D’huere” from the Wrong Baby 7″. French vocals, really fast tempo. Unlike any other of his tracks.
“The Slow Descent” on the Shiny Star 7″ (also appears on Channel 3: A Compilation Of Output Recordings CD). Imagine “Version” slowed down with vocals added.
and more recently “All The Pretty Girls” which appears on Channel 4 CD and Vinyl Sampler. Techy, very dark wave and definitely one of his best tracks.
