posted by TravisThe Sounds are back with a new single and album. Pitchfork had the scoop on that earlier this week. The band unveiled their new single, “Queen Of Apology,” on Last Call with Carson Daly. Didn’t know Carson Daly was still around? Neither did we. But luckily The Smudge of Ashen Fluff Tivo’d it (or something).

The album, Dying to Say This to You, is produced by Jeff Saltzman (The Killers) and will hit stores March 21st.
edit: The Sounds were also just featured on Filter’s latest podcast and played guest DJs. Check it out for 2 more new songs: “Song With a Misson” and “Night After Night.”
The Sounds just finished a few club dates in the States and are headed over to the UK.
