Metric

Ok its been super long since I’ve written, I have been super sick and almost dying. Might have gotten the bird flu. So I’ve been meaning to write about this album for quite sometime. The new Metric album titled “Live It Out” is fucking brilliant, beautiful, elegant, and rock ‘n’ roll. It reminds me a lot of The Cardigans back in the day when I loved them (although their new album isn’t half bad). The new direction of Metric is definately one that needed to be taken. I kind of just put away their last album, thinking it only had a couple memorable songs. I feel they’ve grown so much since the last one.

I recently just saw Metric on this tour, it was my second time seeing them. I felt I just definately could not give up the opportunity to go see them play songs off of their new album. The new album just dragged me in that much. The show was nothing less than amazing and they all can really keep the beat and the crowd moving. To my surprise the show had been sold out and everyone seemed as excited as me to see them perform. They opened up with my favorite track off of “Live It Out” titled “Empty”, which is one of those songs that sucker you in with a slow sweet start and then comes the hook, rock n’ roll mayhem.
