Tiga

Bang, bang, bang. The (electro/dance) blogosphere is exploding over the new Tiga track. It is everywhere you turn. As it should be. It’s a hot track. Hell this is my third time posting about it in a month’s time. Beat that. But seriously… it was officially released on PIAS last week in most of Europe and next week in the UK (no?).

I don’t care if you call Tiga a magpie. Sure he borrows from the past. Sure most of the songs he records are covers and/or borrow heavily from past tracks. But many, many artists have built careers on less. There is no doubt that he makes whatever he touches better – he’s a master of his craft. No, that’s not a hyperbole.

“You Gonna Want Me” is a hot track. It gets hotter each time I listen to it. And I am getting so psyched for Tiga’s debut album. Hopefully, it will be worth the wait. The Isolee In-My-Bee remix is off of the 12″ – I think it’s 12″ only (correct me if I’m wrong(?)). It takes the song in a totally different direction, and some of the more interesting djs out there will be able to do something magic with it on the decks.
