Muse

19 October 2005 :: posted by Rchrd Oh?!

No one told me there was a new reissue(thanks Dany!) Muse record out!! They released it in 2001, but only in Europe. How come I haven’t seen any sort of advertising for this? or blogs writting about it? I actually had no idea they had anything semi-new out until I saw High Tension(which is a great fucking movie, but what’s up with the shitty ass ending?). Well they have a song in the movie called “New Born” which is really fucking good. I looked the song up thinking it was just for the soundtrack, and I saw they have a new reissued album out, what the fuck?! So I went and got the “Origins of Symmetry” album and I have been listening to it nonstop. It draws me in like any other Muse record. They have a way of starting songs that just blows my mind. They are the kings of the slow start song, then the guitars kick in and screams grab you, and you can’t turn off your stereo as if you and the stereo are magnets of the same poles.
I’m sure you have all heard Muse already so I won’t go into too much depth as to their sound but if you haven’t heard this album, go out and get it…now!!!

Highlites of the album are: “Screenager”, “Space Dementia”, “New Born”, and obviously “Darkshines”.

Listen: Muse- “Darkshines” (mp3)

Purchase: Amazon
