Awesome New Republic

If Justin Timberlake was cool he might sound something like Awesome New Republic. Maybe? There’s a certain amount of indie-white-boy-r&b that is starting to float around. It might be too early to call indie-white-boy-r&b a trend, but I first started to spot it last spring with Hey Willpower. Or maybe it’s been there all along, and I’m just now starting to catch onto it.
Whatever the case may be, there is now Awesome New Republic taking it in a different direction - bluring the lines between R&B, indie rock and new wave. They’re definitely onto something. Good stuff.
As far as “indie-white-boy-r&b”… I’m working on the trademark as we speak.
