Alright. Junior Senior’s new album, ‘Hey Hey My My Yo Yo’, is currently only coming out in Japan with no US or UK release date… yet. More info on the later…

I’m totally digging the ‘new’ sound of this album. While their debut would probably fall under the indie-dance-rock category, I’d file this one under indie-dance-disco category. In ‘Hey Hey My My Yo Yo’, Junior Senior visit early disco (think Michael Jackson’s ‘Off The Wall’ album) and early hip-hop/freestyle (think all those great old freestlye songs I’ve been posting). Their first was fun in a roll-down-your-car-windows-and- open-the-sunroof way. This album is fun in a night-out-on-the-town way. With some Monkee-esque songs thrown in for good measure. Does that make sense?

You guys can guess this is my favorite track on the album. It’s that little rap in there. It reminds me of Pajama Party or L’Trimm or something.
