It’s finally Friday night. Did this week drag or what?

I’ve been trying to decide if I like this record for like two weeks now. In general, I don’t like house music. I am usually bored after the second or third thump. There really has to be something a little more gripping.

Intitally, I was totally turned off by the classic house sound. But just when you’re totally ready to write this song off as another generic house anthem, that steel guitar kicks in – and it’s like what the fuck. Then the weird blue-sy vocals. It’s like house meets the deep south. And ya’ll know that anytime there is a clash of two styles my ears totally pick up and I’m interested.

But my verdict is still out on this track. It’s well produced. It’s interesting. It’s different. But I can’t say I love it… or even really like it that much.
