I need… I need… Phones

Phones aka Paul Epworth has remixed Bloc Party, New Order and The Kills. Well he can now add Goldfrapp to his quickly growing, high-profile resume. Epworth has taken this nu-Glam Rock dance number and made it sound more Black Cherry and less Supernature. Not that the guitar and T.Rex influences aren’t still there, but he’s placed the emphasis now on the synth and vocals. He will have you clapping along in no time. Then when it can’t get any better, the song builds into a perfect synth frenzy.

Believe it or not, the Phones re-edit of “Ooh La La” has done the impossible: Paul Epworth has made this song even more catchy and radio friendly than it already was. Seriously guys, keep an eye on this one. He’s only getting started.
