The Chalets. I honestly don’t know much about this band… not much at all. Except they’re out of Ireland, they’re better than U2 and they have a great pop sound.

Like the Go-Gos, The Chalets formed before ever picking up instruments. Their songs are built around loud guitars and a juxtaposition of male and female vocals. I don’t know… it reminds me of Bis, S Club 7, Electrocute, Ladytron… and Sid Vicious. Yeah the Sex Pistols are somehow working their way in there. It’s bizarre. It shouldn’t all work. But it does.

And if nothing else… be sure to check out their music video for “Feel The Machine.” It’s directed by D.A.D.D.Y. I love this video… but that could just be that I’m such a huge nerd.
