First things first. Let’s talk about Lauryn Hill’s new hair style. Is that not the cutest hair cut you’ve ever seen? Smart move. Let’s hope it’s not a wig.

Lauryn is coming back. Last we heard she was a woman on the verge. The media painted her like Whitney minus the crack. Who knows how much of that is true. We heard what she said at the Vatican. And we all witnessed her near breakdown on MTV Unplugged. Last I heard she was super hot for Jesus. Like super hot for him in almost a creepy way. But not anymore creepy than Madonna being hot for Kaballah I guess.

And now there is news of a new album (link has picture of Lauryn sporting mini-afro). Lauryn Hill aka L-Boogie is working with Kayne West (who is also super hot for Jesus). Rumor has it she’s recorded like 28 songs or something for this album. There is not yet a release date or title but if you head over to Lauryn Hill Online you can download a couple new studio tracks (demos?) and a couple video files of her performing at Cartier’s 25th Anniversary Party (I guess she’s gotten over her materialism issues?). Watch her struggle with “Doo Wop (That Thing)” on top of Amerie’s “1 Thing”.. hot idea but not so hot in execution.

Geez. All this talk of Lauryn Hill has made me pull out my old Fugee’s albums. Now The Score… That’s a record.
