I honestly don’t know how much buzz is building around Lady Sovereign. The only reviews I read were so bad that I had to check her out. And of course I instantly loved her.

She’s kind of like a female Dizzee Rascal. Or Sporty Spice if Sporty Spice rapped. You know… those crazy kids out of East London call it Grime. It’s part reggae, part rap, part garage. Crazy shit. But I’m not an expert. I don’t know.

Her debut should be coming out sometime soon… at least in the UK. Her next single, 9 to 5, is coming out in July. And she’s doing a couple tracks with Basement Jaxx.
